Has Law Enforcement Contacted You?

The WPLC has learned that law enforcement agencies in other states have attempted to contact and interview Water Protectors and allies after they have left Standing Rock. Nobody can be required to answer questions from law enforcement and we strongly recommend that you do not.

Water Protectors with open cases should not speak about their case to anyone but their attorney. We encourage everyone to read “If an Agent Knocks” for more information about how to protect yourselves and other activists from government investigation if law enforcement agents visit your home or workplace.

All Water Protectors should inform their attorney or the WPLC at (605) 519-8180 if they are contacted by authorities in relation to water protection activities.
