Water Protector Legal Collective provides criminal defense services to everyone who was arrested at Standing Rock in resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline. We do this through a mix of direct representation, recruitment and support of attorneys admitted pro hac vice under the special provisions for out-of-state attorneys, coordination among Water Protectors with state and federal cases and among defense attorneys with NoDAPL cases, and public information, education and advocacy work.
The most recent statistics on the outcomes of the state criminal cases are available here.
