COVID-19 Crisis in Indian Country

Dear Relatives,

We hope you all are well. We are reaching out in a time of crisis in one of Indian Country’s most difficult times.  Right now hundreds of Indigenous peoples and tribal communities are in crisis and in urgent need of supplies due to the COVID-19 pandemic; a pandemic exacerbated by chronically underfunded health services and resources in Indigenous communities.  Here at WPLC, we have made a commitment to Indigenous peoples’ human rights and cultural survival, because we know that their vision and leadership are keys to humanity’s future sustainability on this planet. Reports from our family and friends on the Navajo Nation confirm that they are confronting an acute crisis and are working hard to mitigate the effects of the pandemic. Please support these COVID-19 relief efforts in Indian Country and keep our people in your hearts, prayers, and minds as we weather this storm together.
